Belt Grading Requirements

Gradings for colored belts at EKKC are held three times per year (typically in October, February & June of every year), with the student being eligible to take a test twice yearly. Grading for Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) and above are held once a year by the IKOK-C Branch Cheef. The length of time to train for promotions is only approximated and may vary according to individuals' capabilities.

Consideration is given to the age of the student at all levels for some requirements. In addition to the requirements listed for each belt level, the student may be tested on techniques required for the previous levels. Normally, skipping of belt grades is not permitted.
